Question GMS / Supplier pricing

Do we have anything definite yet if GM is going to be offering these discounts on the 2010 Camaro?

I know, dealers that do not know everything, but I just had one tell me that GM is not offering GMS on the Camaro.

All discounts are available on the Camaro on GM's side. The catch is, you have to find a dealer willing to accept them.

No luck either

Some the dealerships that I asked said that they would offer whatever discounts GM offered at time of sale. Others said "No", they wouldn't offer these discounts.

I would love to see it in writing somewhere that they are offering GMS.

I know on the one IDL it was posted that they said all discounts would be available at the start of production.

Looking for opinions on how to approach this situation. I ordered my Camaro on 10/18. My dealer told me then (and a few times since then) that they are pricing the pre-orders at MSRP.

Wait! Wait!

I got a signed invoice/order form with the MSRP numbers on it. Two things have happened since then. I changed my order a couple of weeks ago to add the RS package. I watched my dealer enter the order and he printed out the Workbench order and gave me a copy. We did not re-do the invoice at that time. Second, I just found out that I can join a credit union at work that makes me eligible for GMS pricing. I mentioned this to my dealer and he asked if I was planning on using GM card $, because I could not use both. This leads me to believe that he will accept GMS although he didn't come out and say it.

So, since the GMS will offer me a greater savings than the GM card, I would rather use that. The question is, when should I approach my dealer again about this? Right now? When my car comes available in a consensus? When the car is delivered? And should I go get a new invoice with the RS package price added?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I think you should talk to your dealer ASAP so you are aware of what you are paying.

I would appreciate any help with exact amounts with GMS pricing. I'm headed to the dealer and would like to show confidence in my figures in case his differ from mine. Also, does the base price of the car include the shipping or should I include another $750? Here is the car: 2SS with RS pkg, Hurst short throw, cyber gray stripe package (B7W). A big thank you for the help!

I contacted a dealer in Vero beach by email and they told me they would honor the supplier discount price, i live in Orlando but havent had any luck and instead Orlando dealers keep emailing me saying the vehicle i want is in stock and can i come in for a test drive......lol ok hasnt even been built yet people....dont you hate those automatic generated emails....;-)
FBOD was very informative when i spoke to him and he told me there would be supplier pricing and it would likely be released once production starts and i confirmed this with the department that deals with the dm supplier price

I think you mean "GSU". GMS = employee pricing. GSU = supplier. The dealer I've ordered with told me "MSRP plus incentives" but I found out recently that they're not counting supplier pricing as an "incentive". But the same dealer (different salesman) told someone else on this forum that they'd honor the College Student/Grad discount which I would be eligible for and is the same price as supplier. Soooo I dunno.

Thats what my dealer is saying/doing... What ever discounts are going on when my Camaro rolls into the dealer, i'll possibly be able to get.

After i read what i put i went back and changed it. Im refering to gm supplier discount which i can get through my company and apparantly someone told me you can ise it for family aswell.

The nice thing about it is that it can be combined with other incentives aswell which may be offered regionally. Every little helps.

You should be able to use both. I looked on the site with the credit union info, and it listed the GMCard as being usable in addition to the credit union pricing...
