Never received my "Welcome Kit"

Unfirtunately, the address on my order is the address of my dealer.

I assume my "Welcome Kit" was mailed to the dealer and lost.

Is there anyone I can contact to get the kit remailed?

Thanks.

Your dealer is an idiot....tell him to fix the order. A sold order is supposed to have YOUR address, not the dealerships.

They can call the GM Service Center and fix

I don't think your sold order has anything to do with the welcome kit (other than maybe a name pull) ... My DAD (same name but lives in a different state) recieved my welcome kit and not me .. I was assured from my dealer that my information is on the order and not my dads .. LOL

Call chevy marketing at 1-800-950-CHEV. They will need your order number, but they will investigate. I haven't gotten mine either, but they claim they are sending both letters out to me and I should have them within two weeks. If I don't, there will be more and more calling, until they FEDEX overnight them to me.

What is the welcome kit? I've gotten letters about the car to a concept "print" pic of the car from the designer. Anything else?

GM doesn't want you to contact them about the welcome kit. Their statement about it is:

"The timeframe to receive the Welcome Kit is sixty (60) days from the customer order date. We ask that you please hold all order status inquiries until this timeframe has lapsed."

And since I ordered 10/18 and have still not received it, evidently the wait may be a bit longer. Just be patient.

First i've heard of a "welcome kit". What is supposed to be in it? Haven't seen a thread about it. People would be talking about it, wouldn't they? I've got the letters that have been sent including the one that has my order date and name on a photo but nothing about welcome kit.

Yeah, but unless we posted this like you just did, nobody would know this information. I have a buddy who ordered 2 days after me, 10/15 and he has yet to receive either letter. The people before and after him have, so WTF gives with that?

This should not be this hard to resolve. I suggest people keep calling the number until they receive it. That's what I did. It all depends on who you get when you call.

It's just a letter with a sketch by Sang-Yupp Lee that is numbered and has your order date and a build number that doesn't appear to be anything that means anything, yet.

It's neat to have the documentation down the road, but as someone who had to wait til Jan to get it, I can see where the frustrations come from.

FROM GM:

"Customer sold orders will continue to be accepted, and will be recognized as part of the Early Ordering Activity if the sold orders are submitted by March 15, 2009. Sold orders submitted prior to March 15, 2009, will receive a Camaro Welcome Kit and a special factory processing option code (R6P).

This code acknowledges the order was part of the activity will be added by GM, and appear in such places as the invoice and window label.
"

Hope that helps!

My dealer also screwed up my address by entering one number in my address incorrectly. I have spoken to Chevy via that 800 number and they said that my dealer was the only who can fix it, which is totally wrong I have since found out. They also told me that they would send the welcome kit to my correct address in about 2 - 3 weeks, but I'm still waiting after about a month now.

While I was at the Philly car show I spoke with a gentleman named Paul (cant remember his last name) who was showing the SS and he informed me that there are only a couple of people who can actually change your address on the workbench order, since they don't want the dealers submitting bogus names and addresses. I gave him all my info and he said he would look into my particular problem. I submitted my order number in another thread and the person actually showed me my order in the system, so I'm a little less worried now. I just want my welcome kit!! I'm going to call my salesman and hope he can email the launch team to see if it's been corrected.

My Autonation dealer put my order in the system yesterday, even though I gave a down payment atleast 3 months ago. At this point, it would seem that I would get the Car before Welcome Kit?????????
