Cant get my SS to relearn TPMS Sensors
Alright folks, so I bought some 21's from a fellow member. Got them, and did the TPMS sensor learn, letting air out of the tire until the horn honked, did it for all 4 and it worked no problem. Well 2 days later I get in the car and it starts beeping at me saying to check TPMS, so I pull it up on the DIC, and the Driver rear was no longer reading, ok whatever, all others are reading fine.
So I go out today to relearn all of them because you cant just do 1, or if you can It doesn't say how, and per the manual you set it to active learning mode and start at the drivers front, let air out until it honks, proceed to the pass front, then the pass rear, and finally drivers rear. Well I cannot get the passenger rear to read. I will let air out for 30+ seconds and it never honks and before you know it its timed out of active relearn and it does not store the front 2 since it was not completed as a whole. Any ideas?

Either the Sensor is bad on that wheel or you might try adding air instead of letting it out.. Other than that, it sounds like you are doing everything else correct.. If not, WARRANTY !!

and also the sensor worked fine before I tried the relearn, it was the drivers rear that stopped reading

Damn. This sucks. These sensors are pissing me off.
![]() I never had a problem with those ones when they were on my car Jeanius, but my new ones will read to set, but completely drop off after about an hour. And I've reset them 5 or 6 times. But they ALL drop off. And I've also had mine do the same as you. Where the right rear wouldn't read at all. Another member I met Saturday said the same thing. His woulnd't stay paired. I'm confused too. These things are screwy. |

Wierd, it worked the first time absolutely no problem, and it took less than 10 sec of decreasing the tire pressure for it to honk on each tire In the manual it says you can use some sort of tool, I'm gonna swing by the dealer tomorrow I guess, Ill update

Does the option on your data thing(forget what its called) where you check your tire pressure on the screen, it has an option to relearn your tire pressure, you tell it to relearn and the horn honks, and it resets it and after a while it reads correctly

same oh
Funny that this same thing happened to me after tire roatation on my wifes Yukon last month.Tire Discount could not reprogram, manually, with a hand held computer at all.It would take then immediately erase.Well After about 45 mins. They said just go drive it and if it doesn't re-learn on it's own in a few days bring it back.I was pis--ed. They stated that they" have trouble with GM systems all the time.Sometimes it has to relearn on its own!
Well I drove it for two days and bingo it re-set itself.I don't know how long you guys have been living with this but you would think it would eventually re-learn on its own?
