What's a good deal?

Ok I've been here at home laid up all weekend after surgery on my knee last friday and have pretty much read everything I can on the new Camaro here on these forums and configured the car I want dozens of times on Chevy.com.

To say I'm ready to pull the trigger on this car is an understatement.

So here is what I plan to get:

2SS/RS Coupe 6M Summit White w/ orange stripes, hurst short throw shifter and IOM accent interior. Chevy has MSRP at $37,795.

Just wondering what you guys think would be a good deal for this car or should I expect to pay full MSRP?

Thanks
Phil

you should be able to get it below sticker. if you are a credit union member or costco/sams club should be able to pay below sticker for sure. i paid "preferred pricing" about 900 below sticker for my 2011 synergy green ss that i ordered. there are some dealers on here who do discounts also and i believe out of state delivery. Good luck!!! Also get outside financing first, so when you go to the dealer they can beat it. i ended up with 3.3% for 72 months. not bad.

^^^^ THIS ^^^^

Just bought my car from her. I ordered it just the way I wanted it and it came out perfect. Saved a ton of money too. She is knowledgeable, and friendly, and will answer any questions you have.

Let us know how it works out!

PhillyC,

My Camaro is currently on order, here are the specs:

2011 2SS/RS
Imperial Blue Metallic
Automatic Transmission
Polished wheels
MSRP: $38,100.00

I was able to talk my dealer down to $35,250.00. This is a very aggressive price, and I'm not sure the dealerships in your area will go that far, but I wouldn't pay more than say $36,500. They ought to be able to do that much for you. And to echo some others on here, talk to Becky. She is an angel.

Thanks for all the info dr.damon, ron, stone cold and blue dragon.

I do have outside financing already lined up so I'm hoping to use that to get a better rate.

Was hoping I could cut a deal for around $34k-$35k, nice to know that that is "agressive". I don't want to have unrealistic expectations but I want the best deal I can get obviously.

Perhaps I'll get a hold of Becky and see what kind she can do an get more info from her. Thanks Again.

Phil

Phil, I don't think you're being unrealistic with your goal price of 34k to 35k. Just be patient especially with the release of the convertibles and the 2012 soon to come out. I was in the market for the exact same car with options and I was able to get the dealer to come down to 34.8k, but I didnt pull the trigger. I ended up getting a used 2010 for a couple of thousand less than that. If you're a member of USAA, please do yourself a favor and look into their car buying service. I hope this helps..Marty

Have you thought about finding a leftover 2010? I got my 2SS/RS for $5500 under sticker. I saw some deals in Rhode Island for 2010 2SS/RS cars going for $6000 under sticker just a few weeks ago. I tried looking for used with less than 10K miles but the leftover was a better deal.

Zag/TrueCar pricing (USAA, Amex, AAA, etc.) for your area for a 2011 2SS/RS LS3 Coupe with Stripes, Hurst and IOM interior is $35,695 ($2k under sticker). You shouldn't have to pay a nickle more than that and anything lower is even better.

Two weeks ago I bought a new leftover 2010 2SS/RS L99 RJT with Sunroof and Polished wheels for $33,500 ($5200 under sticker).

My 2011 1SS was listed at 32,192 with a 1000 dollar GM credit = 31,192....MSRP on the car was 33k...

This car had the Synergy Green paint, upgraded sound system, and Hurst short throw shifter...
