Quick question to give me peace of mind.

After leaving my camaro at my friends house over night, I started it the next day. I revved the engine for my friend and he said a bunch of black smoke came out of the exhaust. The next day I noticed a bunch of residue on the ground effects and exhaust pipe. Only on the driver side.

??? Something to worry about or not? Do a fuse pull? I only use shell V-power. ??? Thanks for your help. I love this forum.

The black smoke is called carbon sexiness.... Seriously, these cars a tuned a little rich.... not too much to worry about there.

Black smoke = Fuel, White = water, Blue = oil.

Yes, I notice a lot of black soot on my Borla exhaust tips. Thought the same...running rich!

I have black soot on my MRT v2 also

Black is okay. I am not too sure why its only on one side though. Mine has always been both sides. You want it on the rich side if anything- especially for a supercharged engine!!

Bit of trash on a particular plug ???? or maybe parking on a slant.....then the residue, dirty carbon tainted water collecting in one muffler accumulate more.......
