Been married for 25 yrs and the wife knows how to drive a stick. The only thing I'm scared about is once we get our car,she will take off with the Cable Guy and stick me with the MIL.

I've never been more terrified in a car than I have been with women. Be it past gf's or just friends, I am never comfortable, and usually clutching at the holy sh*t handles or the dash.

That being said, my wife is a great driver, and she is the only woman I have ever driven with that doesn't scare the crap out of me.

Don't want to perpetuate the stereotype here, but that is just my experience.

I'm single...lol...good thing...I'd feel that way if a guy drove my car.

...and if any guy ever 'does' ride shotgun in the car...I'd want to scare him a little. But that's just how I roll.....

Depends on the woman. In my experience:

My company is holding a team meeting about 3 hours from our office in a few weeks. My female boss, as kind as she is, has offered to drive all 6 of us, plus her, in her Ford Explorer.

I sent her an email stating that I will meet them there; I will be taking my own vehicle. The part I left out of that email is that I do not trust her driving, and I am not willing to put myself at risk of death just to save gas money. I've been a passenger with her once before and I'll quit my job before I do it again.

The only females I've ever trusted to drive me was my mother, until I got my license, and maybe/almost one of my fellow volunteer firefighter recruits. That woman could just about parallel park an engine, blind. Mega props to her.

And in my personal life at home, well, my significant other isn't a woman. I fully trust him with my vehicles and I trust him as a passenger as well.

Yeah, women should not be allowed to drive. Just this morning I was driving home from Houston on I45 doing about 70. Turned my blinker to change lanes, did "over the shoulder" to check the blind spot and see this blond B word doing make up, driving with her elbows. WFT???!!! I was so pissed, I came home shaking. I wanted to kill her. WHAT RIGHT DOES SHE HAVE TO PUT ME AND OTHERS IN SUCH A DANGER??? What if she caused an accident with somebody and that somebody had a car full of kids???
PS: I don't care if i sound sexist; me sounding sexist did not put anyone in danger or killed anybody on the road.

HEY!!!!I'm blonde, female, AND I can drive!
When we test drove the Camaro (M6), my hubby and I went together, I drove the first half, and he drove back to the dealership. He killed it THREE times! I said "No way in HELL are you driving my car!" His excuse was that he hadn't driven a stick since I got rid of my Explorer. Ummmm.... Me either, and I didn't kill it.... He doesn't drive my car - and I don't drive his truck. Fair enough....
