Black box on windshield?
I had the windows tinted today and asked for a strip to be put on the top of the winshield. Tint guy didn't do it because he was concerned about getting the black box on the winshield, by the rear view mirror wet. What is the box for, and will getting it wet, ruin its operation? It's a 2011 2ss/rs.

Pretty sure its the sensor/receiver for the home link buttons. But my tit guy tinted around it.

I think it's the reciever for your remote start/unlock/lock. On cars equipped w/ remote start, the reciever is located by the rearview mirror. Without remote start, the reciever is located under the dash.
