I just couldn't do it

Sooo long story short, the minute they announced the ZL1, I wanted to get rid of my 2ss RJT, and get into a smaller car, then trade up to the ZL1 when it was delivered. Reasons were that I was putting too many miles on the camaro to expect much of a trade in value next year (34k miles in one year).

Basically, I traded in my 2ss for a cruze.

My overall impression of the cruze was positive, and had no issues with it (over a 2 month period), except..........

IT's FRICKEN BORING TO DRIVE.

so, nevertheless, I traded in the cruze, for a....

IBM ls camaro. ...I figure this should at least hold me over until the ZL1 hits my garage

Probably did the right thing getting out of the SS with that kind of mileage for fuel costs alone, not to mention trade-in value. The thing that killed the Cruze for me was to get any option package of consequence you had to pay near LS Camaro prices. For that money I'd rather have the LS Camaro, fuel economy be damned. Me, I ended with a Fiesta for 16k as a second car on a similar mileage pace. I have one Camaro I take way too much care of sitting around, I don't need a second on (LS) that will be almost impossible to maintain the way I want with a ton of mileage.

well yea that was my main concern with getting out of the 2ss for a while...I was filling up nearly every 2 days.

the cruze basically averaged 25 mpg..but honestly...I'd rather have 312 hp and a few less mpg than 136 hp while having a shitty time merging on the freeway onramps lol

lol I think the best moment was on the freeway today...I had to change lanes quickly and I had the pedal to the floor...and I'm thinking (aahhhhhh it's supposed to be accelerating!!) in the cruze of course...

So how's that saving on trade in value thing going?

Congrats on getting another Camaro, though!

lol yea...of course..it looked great on paper, but naturally, as life would have it, not so much. I'll still be saving quite a bit, but obviously I just love washing my hands of california tax and license lol

well, what was the main reason for getting rid of your SS? I fill up once a week, and thats only about 40 bucks which gets me a little over 3/4 of a tank. Im getting 15 MPG with 22s on. Shoulda just kept ur foot out of it.
