Best pricing Edelbrock X Pipe

I need a little more sound and have decided to get the Edelbrock X pipe, that also deletes the resonators. Who's got the best price and how much should I spend to install?? I looks like it'll clamp in, but I'd get it welded to be safe.

Thanks!!

The Edelbrock x-pipe made my car sound smoother at idle and little louder when I get on the gas. Make sure you have you battery disconnected before any welding if an electric welder is used on your exhaust.

Do you know why they stopped making it?? Do you have any pics?

Edit - I called Edelbrock - They got out of exhaust business about 8 months ago.

Doesn't look like that muffler monster one deletes the resonators though... I was able to make my own for $111.96, http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82032

Any reputable exhaust shop should be able to do it for about the same price.

I think it does, its made by Heartthrob Exhaust and when I emailed them I got this response..

'When Edelbrock discontinued this part, we decided to make a part that is a direct replacement to it. My # is 1052019, $105.31, I need about 2 weeks to make and ship, aluminized steel 2-1/2”, using the same accuseal clamps. Link to instructions: http://www.heartthrobexhaust.com/1052019.pdf'

I see, must just not be a picture of the actual product on the muffler monster website. Makes sense.

Magnaflow makes one as well. IIRC it's around $75. If you're going to delete the resonators, you'll have to get it welded. I did this to my L99 and it cost me around $150.

I haven't seen the Magnaflow one, but I was able to use exhaust clamps to hold mine in.

You can do that with the LS3. The L99 has the OEM resonators and H pipe all in one large section. Unless someone makes a x pipe specifically for doing the L99 resonator delete, you'll have to weld one in or have several clamps in a small area.

The Magnaflow tru-X is a universal piece but it fits fine in our cars. Available in 2.5 or 3in.

Thats what the one from Heartthrob is; a direct replacement fit. You cut out the resonator and replace it with their x-pipe.
