Sunroof or No?

What's your opinion on the sunroof option? Years from now will it be less popular than the reverse mohawk roof? I gotta make up my mind today.

Help!

I wouldnt even think about the mohawk. If you think you might want the sunroof, you might as well get it. Close it and its just like a solid roof.

I saw a picture of it open. It doesn't retract into the roof, it goes back over it. I've had one stick open. It happened on a beautiful 60 degree January day in Denver the first week I had the car. It was project to snow that night. I garaged the car and drove to the dealer in 4 inches of new snow and 25 degree weather with it open. There was a problem with them in the Outlook/Acadia/Enclave where they leaked. Several people in the Enclave forum used the Lemon law to get out of a vehicle they couldn't fix. No sunroof for me.

Hard to believe these manufactures cant build a sunroof that doesnt leak in this day and age. Well, maybe not.

Great feedback. I've had 3 hondas in a row with a sunroof and never had one leak but that's a concern. Don't shoot me but it's been a long time since I've owned a GM car and I really don't know about the quality. My last one was a 92 Pontiac Grand Am. No sunroof.

I was told by my dealer today that he saw the yellow SS that was in Texas over the past couple of weeks and that the car had the sunroof and that it opened inside the roof. Can anyone confirm this with pictures? The reason I ask, is because my wife wanted the sunroof, and since it is her car, I told her it was fine by me as long as it didn't open to the outside.

Is there a chance that the design has been changed since we saw the pictures where it opened to the outside?

If you want "open air" driving just wait for the convertable... In my opinion the sunroof on these cars looks like one of those cheap sunroofs you can get from Ziebart for $250. Plus, Mohawks always look meaner than a flat top! LoL

The roof does NOT retract into the car. It goes up and back sticking out. If you use the search function, you'll find several threads w/ & w/o pics.

No sunroof for me either. Not a big fan esp. on this car. To me this is suppost to be retro to "69" and I can't remember seeing a "69" camaro with a sunroof. To me a muslce car shouldnt have a sunroof. plus as others have said there is always the chance of leakeage down the road.
