Arrow Help plain and simple

First I spend a great deal reading all over this site. Your info on here is more then I get from my dealership. I ordered on 10/18 a 2ss Orange camaro.
I have been reading about Preorders pulled and allotments and allocations. I asked my dealer about what theres are and He just keeps telling me Don't worry you will get your car. Plus he added There were only two orders mine on 10/18 and another SS on 10/27. He has no word on pricing or just when it will arive. What do you think? or when will I get it? Any help to understanding all this would be Great! Thanks...

Call Chevy customer service with your confirmation number. At least they'll do what they're supposed to do and give you an update. Even if they simply say your order is still at event code 1100 at least you'll know something...

I have called it and they were able to give me an event code (1100 at the time). However, experiences vary and they don't always get back to you or give you the answer you are looking for. The best bet is to find out who at your dealer handles the Workbench ordering and ask them (that is if your salesperson won't). Another way would be to ask the dealer for your workbench printout. It will have the current event number on there.

Don't you just love it when someone gives you an attitude over doing their job? To answer your question, I have not called the number. Then again, my dealer has no problems doing what they're supposed to do and updating me as things change.

Actually, the advice from your dealer sounds pretty good for now, "Don't worry you will get your car." Nothing you or he can do is going to speed up the process. Like Pete said though, you should make sure you get a copy of the order Workbench with your Order # on it so you know it's actually been submitted properly....just in case Spike is correct.

Am I supposed to get my Workbench order copy when I order and place my deposit? What does it look like? I'm pretty sure I didn't get one and I need to make sure everything's on the up and up. And what's this confirmation code? Is that on the Workbench order or do you get that in the mail from GM?
