SPEAKER REPLACEMENT

Was wondering for those that replaced front door speakers did you do complete new component set and if so where did you mount crossovers. Or did you just install a coaxial set and did you retain use of tweeter in pillar. How were they wired backd in. On the fence of changing speakers or doing ******** amp replacement kit. Also has anyone used vibe, arc audio or mb quarts speakers. Ive used Focal but thought of trying to keep cost down esp. If do amp change

I'm running an Arc Audio 900.6. Great amp!

If you haven't heard them yet, check out Hybrid Audio Technology. If you like Focal, you will love these! I made the switch and couldn't be happier. MB Quart isn't what it used to be IMO.

I'm running HAT components (L6 mid-bass drivers and L1ProSe tweeters) with a bi-amplified crossover. There is room to mount the x-over inside the door. If you are going to replace the speakers, it isn't that much more to swap out the factory wires with much better quality wiring. If you go that route, you can put the x-over almost anywhere.

What speaker did you use in center. Wonder if a seperate volume control could be added to tone it down some

Who has replaced center and with what. Will amp replacement be sufficient or will speakers start to distort.

Check out some of ********'s threads. Steve has several threads showing how much better the sound quality improves by just swapping out the factory amp.
