Mods help

Ok fellas, I think im close to having a buyer for my racecar. I soon will hopefully have 8K in my pocket to spend on my SS. My car is stock except for tints and SLP Loudmouth which is gettin installed this weekend. Which mods do I get for the most HP? A majority of the money will be goin on engine performance stuff, except for maybe Hotchkis springs, strut tower brace...I was thinkin long tube headers, X pipe, CAI intake, ported throttle body and dyno tune...What else??

l99 or ls3?

If l99 i'd tell you go with some vvt camshaft, 1 3/4 racing headers (unless you play FI later then go with 7/8), a CAI and a tune. Might invest in some nittos for your rear. Also think of maybe a 100 shot. If you got a good enough tuner your stock internals will be fine with this and you'll be almost at 600rwhp.

All depends on what you're building the car for. Check your pms.

They got an L99 with vvt camshaft, 1 3/4 american race headers, slp exhausts, some cai and a dyno tune and the car hit over 500rwhp. I'm thinking throwing in a S/C should get you over 600.

N/A is the way to go with some spray.

OP do you know how to work on your own car? If you do you will be able to get to that 500rwhp with very little $. I know the VVT camshaft kit I was looking at for my L99 cost only $700... but I don't know how to install it so the labor would kill me.
