Camaro Visability??

Why do peeple, mostly reviewers biatch about Camaro visability? Its not the first car with obstructed views. OK lets take a walk down memory lane. Here are just a few cars with bad views but know one really complained then.

I had a 733 Javelin and it was not as bad. The new Camaro's blind spots have blind spots lol.

The new Camaro is definitely hard to see out of. Of course, compared to my 1998 Grand Prix, ALL new cars are impossible to see out of. I could see EVERYTHING in that car

That said, the new Camaro is rough, but I'm completely used it to now and I know exactly how to check my blind spots and where to put the mirrors, etc. So, yes, visibly isn't great, but you get used to it.

Just set the mirrors right and basically all the blind spots disappear.

I don't "see" (haha! zing!) the problem I always read about with visibility. Once I adjusted my mirrors properly I don't have much problem at all. The only minor issue I ever see is when backing out of something like a driveway, it can be tough to see down the street if anything is coming unless you lean forward. Other than that I always know whats going on around the car.

after i properly adjusted my seat and mirrors the only blind spots I really would have is backing out of a space in a tight parking spot. I try to avoid spaces with head in only parking but occasionally you don't have a choice.

the first time you set in the 5th Gen you notice the blind spots and visability, adjust the mirrors and take it for a spin and the blind spots go away

1- SEAT YOUR LOWER END IN THE CAR .
2- SET THE MIRRORS IN A WAY THAT YOU JUST MISS THE [HIPS] ON THE REAR FENDERS CORNERS IN TO THE V SHAPE OF THE INSIDE PART OF THE MIRROR [LEFT AND RIGHT ] ONE ,AND IN A WAY THAT WITH THE OUTSIDE PART OF IT YOU WILL SEE THE NEXT LANE OF TRAFFIC ,THIS WAY YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE AND YOU SEE IF ANYTHING IS ON THE NEXT LANE , specialy if a mustang is there , that,s all one needs to do , oh and hit the right pedal !

If you're buying a car for "visibility" purposes, get a SCION XB... Large windows, you can see EVERYTHING!!! Also, if that's what stopping you from getting a Camaro... then please don't get one! Your lack of driving confidence will be better off not behind the wheel of this wonderful car!

I drove a '95 Camaro for 8 years. It had poor visibility. I've had my Magnum for 4 years. The visibility is worse than the '95 Camaro. I recently test drove 2 5th gens and the visibility is noticeably worse than either. However, after 12 years of driving vehicles with poor visibility, you learn to just keep tabs of your surroundings and use your mirrors properly. The only issue I had on either test drive was changing from the left lane to the right lane. I had to move the right mirror to make sure the right lane was clear due to my sudden realization of how big the blind spot was on the right. No biggie, just had to adjust.

My only real issue is backing out with obstructions on both sides. Then it gets kind of scary because you can't see if a car's coming.
