anybody know what happens in this situation???? My dealer ordered my car in CGM so i know they'll be a bit late... 2010 2SS 6 speed, LS3, leather, sunroof, black rally stripes and RS appearance package... got it at MSRP.... it's gonna be like 36K.... didn't step up to the 21's cause i didn't want to pay the 4500 bucks for an extra inch worth of rim...

My dealer has 15 allocations, and i'm #18....

He told us to expect the car most likely July/August timeframe so it's still gonna be awhile. I don't want to get this thing in October/November tho.... anyone have this happen at their dealership? Run out of allocations but still able to order vehicles???? thanks guys...

Current allocations are not for the entire MY2010 product cycle. More allocations will be announced later.

All pre-orders will be filled by October (within dealers original allocation).
With this being said, dont be suprised if it's after Oct. when you take delivery.

Yeah, I don't know why your dealer would tell you July/August. Depending on how fast they can crank them out I would think after Q3 would be when yours might get built. If it was me I wouldn't be expecting it before Nov. or Dec.

Anything over the ESTIMATED GUIDE NUMBER will be "anticipated" after Q3 2009.

I have a feeling......but I promised I'd never speculate

One dealer in my area said they were out of allocations, but could still order and I would get it in May. I think he was making promises he couldn't keep.

He's out of allocation but can get one in May, huh? Did he say which year? May, 2010 ?

thanks guys... so it seems that I might be getting my car a bit late???/

what surprises me is this: I KNOW for a fact that dealerships will have these cars in showrooms for public sale prior to october (at least i'm pretty sure) as model releases are typically october of the previous year right???? So if they can get cars for the showroom why can't I have my preordered car prior to that???? interesting.....
