Who Deserves "The 12 Disciples of which there are 15" Signed Poster?

As many of you are aware, Scott Settlemire ran a challenge in conjunction with Becky Doyle @ Rogers Chevrolet to see who could collect the most cell phones to be contributed to the "Cell Phones For Soldiers" charity.

I was awared the poster for having sent in 302 phones weighing in over 25 lbs. I am glad to be able to contribute to a great cause and hope the troops get a huge reward for all our help.

Scott awarded a signed poster "The 12 Disciples of which there are 15" to me for my contribution. I have however decided that this should be given to someone most deserving of it. Being that we all believe in supporting our troops I think we should choose someone previously or currently enrolled in the military service.

As for who should get it - if you feel you know a Camaro 5 member that has contributed noteworthy military service above and beyond the call of duty or a family member who may have been related to someone who made the ultimate sacrifice please let us know about this person. The only guidelines that I think we should stick to is that the person to receive the item is a member of Camaro 5 and that they are or were related to someone of significant military contribution.

If you would like to nominate anyone please just provide thier Camaro 5 id and a short explanation on why they are deserving of this item. Becky will be holding this item until such time comes that the decision is made on who it will go to.

Thank you all for your support and lets make the life of a military member just a little bit happier.

First, I saw that PILE of phones. Outstanding contribution and don't flame me for saying so, more worthwhile than the redistribution of the poster. I heard it is over $1 per phone so that was over $300 you raised and contributed to this very worthwhile cause. For that, thank you.

As for the finding a "better" home for the poster, that is very thoughtful. I am sure there is a veteran here that is very deserving of you additional generosity.

talwell,
Your support and generosity
of the challenge that Scott
issued was overwhelming!!

By 9:00 pm 5/12 we had collected 678 phones...
(and more were rec'vd yesterday..).
Your contribution of 302 phones, which weighed
in at 25 lbs, was incredible!!

As you expressed this idea to me, yesterday,..
... it further shows your thoughtfulness to
give to others; and is a double expression of your support
of this great C5 community and the military.

I will keep the poster safe, and follow your direction.

BTW...
I am still collecting phones,
so if others would like,
Please send them,
It's a Great Cause!!

Becky

A slight correction, "TALWELL" generous donation of 302 cellphones, has the value returned to our troops serving in the military at $3020 dollars in $10 dollar pre-paid calling cards.........

I highly recommend, Camaro5 member "STAYMARINE"

"STAYMARINE" is a Marine Corp officer serving in Afganistan and a very active member in th Camaro5 family, even during his deployment.

Picture below is "STAYMARINE" (Marine upfront) who help organize a rather large Camaro5 get together; last Memorial Day weekend at the Pentagon. Over 20 + Camaro5 members showed up!

Wow. Tough call.

There are a lot of deserving members here. All of our current AD service dudes and dudetts. (I can say that, I'm a gulf war vet)

I'd hate to have to make the final decision.
