How do you store your extra tires?

Now that I have new wheels, I am keeping my stock for winter. Do you store them flat and stack em, side by side and do you put them on the concrete or on a pallet or some wood?

My Dealer stores them for me for free - he places them on a tire rack in his back garage. He doesn't charge me for storing as he gets my service business

Stacked on the floor. Never had an issue. Side by side (Standing) can make flat spots over time

Well, I could see some people thinking that if you store them side by side, straight up, that they would get flat spots. However, without the wait of the car, they should be fine.

I stack them on the floor. The most important thing about storing tires is to keep them out of UV rays, as it breaks the rubber down over time. Just be sure the storage area is dry and out of the sunlight.

If I found a good deal on replacements wonder how long they would last before breaking down, I would keep them in my basement or garage, only have 5000 miles on these right now, maybe prices will go down as they become more common, maybe no sense in stocking up
