Will GM dealers install aftermarket rally stripes? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I'll be buying a 1LT SW Camaro later this summer from my local GM dealer. I want to get the hugger orange stripes from Big Worm or Rider. If I tell the salesman this when/before I order the car, do u think I can get them to install them? I don't like the IOM stripes.

the dealer around here will install anything you want if they have the ability to.... might be cheaper to go with a specialty shop though

yep what he said the dealership will install anything they can install. and probly warranty it too. but they will charge your left leg arm and first unborn child!

they wanted 350 i think to install my eagle eyes...i was like woah woah woah...no thanks...did it myself

My local dealer wanted 125 to install stripes, i thought it wasn't bad but i had to buy the stripes from them for 425.

Wow! I paid $115 total for my hockey stripes on Friday. That's with the product and a 45 minute install time

I went thru a local graphic shop

Dang, my dealer just charges the $60 an hour labor charge, I tend to do more than one change at a time

I was quoted $450 to $500 from one shop to remove old stripes and put on new bumblebee's. What a joke, I got it done for nothing from the guy doing all the work on my car.

negotiate with them about it before you sign the papers and get it in writing that you want them to install stripes that you purchase... They want to sell cars and a couple hours of putting vinyl on will probably not be to much to ask from them...

I got a quote from my dealer for 450 just to install them. So i am going to get a specialty shop to do it probably the end of this week.

We charge $100 to install our rally stripes, so $329 total. We use the same type of vinyl as GM, cast 3M or Avery - 7 to 9 years durability depending on the color.
