anyone try trimming your oem rear rubber camaro mat? suggestions?

Hey all,
I added the gm sub and want to keep the rubber mat. well they wont work together.... So I am planning on trimming around the sub so I can have both. anyone done this successfully? I have seen it done poorly and want to avoid that...
thanks in advance

I have both and they do work together with out trimming, the speaker is just wedged in there very tightly, has worked great for over a year.

How did you get it to clear the top of the trunk? It was to tight to even put it in place let alone bolt it in??
is it bolted in or just wedged in there against the top of the trunk and the floor?
If thats the case I cannot do that as I have painted mine and it would scuff the hell out of it

Mine is not bolted in, the holes do not line up, I just pushed the speaker back until it will not go any farther, it is wedged in very tightly, the right side of the speaker will fall back just a little after awhile, and I just push that right side back , works fine for me.

glad it works for you but no way would that work for me. with mine being painted it would chew the entire paint job up. as well as with it being wedged against the top of the trunk, its got to be vibrating the hell out of your rear deck...
thanks for the info tho
