What size bolt is this?

In the bottom right I'm looking for info on what size bolt that connects the negative battery to the chassis. Would like bolt and tap size.

Thanks

What size is the head? What socket fits it?

1/2" head is usually 5/16 bolt, 9/16 head will probably be a 3/8".

Take it out and walk over to the hardware store, they can match it up.

Just pull the bolt its holding down a crappy wire harness plastic piece and on my car I cleaned up the threads and sanded so it would ground better....Take bolt to fastener store..if your thinking its causing some problem...? the deal is a small piece of flat bar steel tapped is in there welded to the trunk floor pan...very common bolt I believe its national coarse.

I expect it's metric, like everything else on the car.

There are virtually no American UNC or UNF bolts on our GM car bodies/chassis. There hasn't been in decades. This shift was started in the 1970s. It is a metric bolt. Likely a 6mm (approx. 1/4") or 8mm (approx. 5/16") thread. The body/chassis bolts are most commonly the course thread.
