Thinking of trading up

Right now I have a 1LT and I am thinking of trading it for a 2SS I am not really sure if I wanna get a IOM or a black one. Also not sure between manual or auto. My current is a manual not sure which to do

well, black is hard to keep clean and you see all scraches swirls and rock chips, black looks best when washed and waxed. I just recently came out of a 1LT of 2 yrs into a 2ss and difference is night and day, keep in mind iom is extra cost for paint, if u drive a stick i would stick with that, unless ur wanting auto, i got auto cause traffic is horrible around fort worth. Oh and dont forget premium fuel, no tire rotations, and sythetic oil and higher payments per month fyi

I like both colors, black is more agressive looking but is more work to keep clean. when black is clean it is the best color but alot of work to keep clean. IOM would be my second choice.

There are a lot of posts in this forum about color choice and the never ending auto vs. manual debate, so a search will give you a lot to read. I love black cars despite their drawbacks and perfer an auto trans over a manual ones partially due to heavy traffic and being a daily driver. The best suggestion I can offer is to drive both a manual and an auto 2SS and then decide.

I have an IOM 2SS/RS M6. I love it. Of course, that's what I'd recommend, because it's my preference.

I think A6 vs. M6 comes down to personal preference. I've found that once you get used to driving stick (as I have for about a decade, now) it becomes 2nd nature. If you already have an M6, and are fine with it, I'd recommend it, because it's a blast in the SS. If you don't like the M6, then maybe an A6 is for you. Test drive both, see which you like best.

Color is purely a personal choice/preference. I will definitely say that I think IOM seems to be a real attention grabbing color. Black looks good (when clean), but I don't think it's as striking as IOM. I've got nothing but compliments on my IOM -- everyone seems to love it.

I'd recommend IOM M6 2SS, but that's just the car that suits ME best. You gotta figure out what suits you best, and buy the car that YOU want. It's nice to have a car that a lot of other people like, but in the end, you're paying for it and driving it.

Black is so played out, IMO. I have seen about 15 camaros in the last few days and 90% of them were black!!! Dont get me wrong, they look good black but just seems they are everywere now.

I have a black SS with the manual as my daily driver. If I could I'd go CGM, but the manual stays.

I've had an RJT 2SS/RS for 2 years now with the M6. LOVE IT!!! I got one year left on the lease and I've pretty much decided to go IOM, especially since RJT is no more. It's my daily driver in Philadelphia traffic (45 mins each way at least) and I'd still stick with the manual, just too much fun.

Don't get me wrong on the color, black is a great look. Just VERY hard to keep clean looking and the IOM paint (was thinking CGM stripes unless I go convertible or ZL1) is just a GREAT looking color. I saw an aftermarket 2010 ZL1 (that's what they called it) at the Philly Autoshow this winter in IOM with CGM stripes and I just fell in love with the combination.

IOM was my second choice, so that gets my vote.

Manual. Not black.

Black isn't just a color, it's a career!
