So I'm thinking of adding a car alarm with remote start. I don't have remote start now and moving to Indiana in 3 days, I want it for the winter!!! Has anyone ever added one aftermarket? I added one to my Jeep after someone broke into it and I had to have a new remote to start the car, open the door,etc. I guess since the camaro has a key in their remote, I'd have 2 remotes???

I have the Viper alarm system/remote start on my car... It was a pain to get on with it being manual, but me and my buddies made it work. If you have an Auto trans it should be alot easier.

On the comment of remotes, yes you will have 2 remotes...

I have a python on my 3rd gen with remote start works fine the remote beeps when some one is in my car.

That's what I would get is the Viper alarm and yes it's an auto...2 remotes, ugh thats what I figured.....

You will also lose a key needed for the bypass.

I have the Viper one as well... works pretty good.
