Roush 427 r convertible

At a party last night and talking to this guy who has a ? 09 or 2010 427 r vert. He got it new last year ( spring) said it's faster then a 2011 mustang gt
Or any cadillac ?... He knows I have a 2010 SS ls3
But it never came up me vs him.I did not say much I am not sure how fast
They are. He said he had some intake work done what ever that means.
So what's the skinny on them?

IIRC they are 435 hp and 400 ft-lbs from Roush, with a supercharged 4.6L 3V. So unless he upped the boost a little, I don't think he would be much faster than a 2011 Mustang GT if at all.

Yes, they are badass. I was parked next to one at a car show a few weeks back. They have blowers and should be pretty equal to a gt500. Then again they are about $50,000.

Edit-- Ahh, didnt know they were 4.6 litres.

Around the same performance as a 5.0. It would be a good race if he's stock.

One guy that races with us has a 07 427R coupe, when the car was still stock he was running 12.6-12.8's with an Auto.

I would expect the Roush to be a little faster, both cars stock, equal driver.
