ADVICE/HELP to reach 600HP?

Ok, so i'm pretty new to the horsepower game. So far all I have is K&N CAI, Magnaflow catback exhaust, and a DiabloSport Trinity Tuner...no tune.

I had to slow my roll though..I was buying crap without looking at the endgame. I've done some research and now i'm even more confused. What to do what to do?.. Turbo or Super, Engine build then Turbo or Super, Suspension, Gears, Rear Dif..etc..etc..

Decided I want to just go fast..I know eventually you have to do other things..but based on what i've been reading, a turbo kit or super kit can be done without doing all of the other stuff immediately..ie. rear diff, etc.

Twin Turbo Setup: Again based on what I have been reading this seems cool enough for me...I'm not a quarter mile junkie or anything like that ..again I just wanna go fast when I want to. Not gonna lie the turbo sound got me? I'd like to go 600 to the wheels. The IPS Twin turbo setup looked pretty cool, the Granatelli setup looked cool, and the Hellion one looked cool.

Dilemma: I don't know what most of that stuff in those kits mean. I want the most bang for my buck. I don't want to buy one kit over the other and hear later on from some effin install guy that "oh you shoulda gotten this to go with your kit". Bigger blow-off valves..different turbo's ...i mean wtf?

Advice: I need a shop near El Paso Tx..I'd be willing to have it towed if it was really far. I like the IPS one(again i'm new, i could be wrong). I'm only working with 10to11stacks. I'd like to have it installed by 1 March 2012.

I want this, what should I do?...oh yeah 2011 LS3 black.

Whatever you do, someone on here is gonna say "oh you shoulda done something else."

That said, i've read enough posts about blown up supercharged LS3's that i would not add boost until getting forged internals and a lower compression ratio.

blkevrythng, CONGRATS on the new ride.......if you want to do it RIGHT, ask yorself a few questions. You stated you want about 600 to the wheels.....thats all well and good, do you thing you will want more? if 600 will do ya, and aren't into drag racing, just going fast when you want.....and if you are wanting to do a turbo.....a single will do more than you want.....if you are bound and determined to do a TWIN, for what ever reason, you can easly be making 700 to 800 at the wheels, two buddies here have gone that route, but as John suggested, if your going to go that high, you would be moeny ahead to build the bottom end. In the end.....you need to make yourself a plan, that incorperated everything that is pieced together that work together. Like a matched set, from the intake to the exehaust, to the tranny, the the suspension. your car is a total unit that needs to work together, if its not all matched, you will end up breaking something down the road, that you can bet your last dime on.

oh and btw......Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Your goal of 600 to the wheels is going to require a lot more than just a simple bolt on super charger kit. Better axles, forged internals, fuel pump, etc

ADM Performance is in Lewisville, Texas. They are a board sponsor and have a top reputation. Your wish list should be something like:

1) Forge the Internals and do head work
2) Forge the Internals and do head work (Just in case you skipped over #1)
3) For starters, target boost to 11 psi, compression 9.7:1 and install a TVS-2300 Maggie
4) Upgrade to HD 1400 HP driveshaft axles
5) Suspension upgrades- at least springs (stiffer/lower car an inch or so) and sway bars for better handling
6) Exhaust upgrade- I like Borla's catback exhaust system

Andy at ADM will get you to where you need/want to be. I recommend them over Lingenfelter only because you asked for a local shop- and ADM is very good. I absolutely love what Lingenfelter did to my car- 650 HP without a care/worry about breaking. They are in Indiana (I shipped car to them- 600 miles- but welllll worth it).

Make sure you have a few dollars in the bank. This game is not cheap when done right.

There are so many different way of making more power, it's all about what's right for you- and what you can afford.

SMH... I should probably just stop researching online and wait until i get home and just go into a shop...I must have not been clear with my question. 10 to 11 thou..turbo system..what can I do?...

Either that or i'm mis understanding what i'm reading...i'm seeing guys on this forum claiming everything stock with a bolt on turbo system making 600 or close to it....shoot even on the websites of the products that i'm looking at.

Now i'm hearing forged internals, head work etc...LOL damn... do I need to enroll in WYO tech or something to understand this car game.

Sure, you can get to 600 rwhp with everything else stock, but only once. Because after that one time it'll all break

A double turbo cost $64K on Ligenfelter website. After talking to several Camaro owners most of them said they would replace the cam instead of going with a super charger. Their opinion is the super charger is just not good for the motor. Replacing the cam gets you a great sound, and you will get just about the same HP gain compared to a super charger.
