Congrats!

A few months ago I picked up a CrossBones. Dyna Wide Glide and Street Bob were on the list too. Chose the CrossBones as 2011 was the last model year.

Couple of pics:

congrats! I like the Deluxe in the background too! Just a few years ago, when I rode sportsbikes, I never took a sec to look/appreciate/admire Harleys and similar bikes...I always walked past them straight to the sportsbikes section. Signs of the times...now it is the opposite. My wife would like me to get back into motorcycling in a couple of years (when sons are bigger and can stay home unsupervised) but this time , she wants me to get a Harley...I said, NO PROBLEM!

Exactly the same experience I have gone through. Rode sportbikes for years. The wife would never put a leg over one. After I sold my last one, I vowed to not ride again unless she agreed to ride with me. A couple of years later and here we are.

We tell the kids we will be back later and call if they need something.

Agree, When I was 16 I would walk right past a Harley to look at a streetbike. Most of my friends my age have streetbikes and all my older friends have harleys. But the younger guys just want the streetbikes cause there fast.the way I look at it is I got my camaro to rip though gears and the Harley to cruise

Thanks! I put a bunch of Willie G stuff on it not long after I bought it. The sissy bar and pavilion passenger seat are also CrossBones specific.

I kept the stock exhaust but drilled out the baffles in the mufflers. It is just loud enough where it is not obnoxious. I am very happy with it so far. The only other change I will make is saddlebags for longer sustained road trips.

You are right, these things are cruisers not screamers and I have really enjoyed the switch.
