SOLO Performance Needs a Convertible To Make Catback and Axle Back Exhaust

SOLO Performance is looking for a convertible V8 Camaro to finish designing a catback and axle back exhaust kit. If there is anyone near our Hamilton (Canada) store, we would take VERY GOOD care of you and it would benefit the entire convertible community.

If you're interested, please drop me a PM or call me direct at 516-655-9002. Thanks and have a great day!

Oh come on people ! I just brought my V6 vert for a solo exhaust to The Buffalo shop and can't tell you how great my vert now sounds. I was lucky to have this on my coupe also, but if you are on the fence with this do yourself a favor and get onboard ! Your V8 will thankyou !
Steve and the guys from solo are fantastic to work with and deliver on a quality system !
The Solo High Flow cats are next on the mod list !

Yes, the cross brace that they added on the convertible gets in the way. A shop would have to do some modifying to get it to fit, but we'd rather make a kit specific to the car that will bolt right on around the cross brace on the convertible.

I'm near Detroit, so not that far from Hamilton . I would be willing as long as I have it back by August for the Gratiot, Woodward & Harper cruises.

Has anyone bought the axle back system and how does it work, I heard you might have to tweak it a bit. How hard would that be.

A shop would have to flare out the pipes a bit, and you'll want to have them keep in the valves that are there. Maybe someone who has done that can chime in as well.

The axle back as is would need to be installed at a muffler shop for the flaring of the ends, unless this has been addressed. The factory "butterfly valves most likely would need to be deleted as well (as I did with mine). However, they could be welded back in or some custom bending, WITHOUT cutting them out in the first place, would be needed.

I'm will be meeting up with another vert owner (Eric) in Oshawa that also has the solo axle back with the butterflys IN. We are going to do a side by side comparison of the axle back with and witout the butterfly's to see if there is indeed any differences in sound level, AFM noises, etc. If you can be patient.........

GREAT NEWS! We have a confirmed convertible coming to our Hamilton store on June 3 for 2 days. After that, we should have both an axle back and full catback that fits the convertible Camaro!!!! I will keep you updated!!
