phone calls to dealerships

lol I just called my local dealership about when they get their first camaro. He just told me that they will not see anything out of the factory for 90 days after they start productions since it takes 60 days to build 1 car.

LOL I had to laugh at him, & told him that they have started production on the 16th & have already started shipping out cars to dealers. lol.

He told me He will call me back to find out when they find out when they get thiers lol.


I bet ya hes going in to the GMs office & tell him that someone out there knows more about the Camaro than they do & that they should hire her.

Rodger will most likely call me & give me a bad time.

It is safe to say the members on this site are much more educated then 99% of the dealers.

I work closely with this dealership & even have gone in for a job (but they wouldnt hire me because I know more about cars than their whole team lol)


I have done shows & even given these guys information when it has came out to the public before they can get their hands on it.

Next I am calling one of the other local dealerships that I work with but not as closely as I do with these guys

dealerships don't care so much about whats coming out and more about what's on the lot right now. Same thing about information on future cars - it's irrelavent since the cars are not on the lot. If they are giving you misleading information, it's because they truly don't care at this point and your just bugging them really.

And knowing about cars does nothing in helping with sales. Believe me, I've worked at a dealership and the less you KNEW the better off you were.

It’s amazing how many salesmen aren’t really “into” the cars they sell. It’s just merely a way to a paycheck. And IMHO that’s one of the main problems going against them. It might as well be a lamp that they are selling.

So the less you know about the cars helps you sell them? Gimme a break, this is simply not true.. Most customers ask questions about the vehicle they are interested in. Looking dumb or pointing out someone else in the room that knows something about the car makes you look even dumber. Why do you want to do business with someone who is clueless..? You don't know how many dealers I've walked out of after asking the salesman a simple question about the car only to get an 'I don't know" or some made up answer that I knew was BS..
