Hey all

Have a 2011 2SS/RS that appears the trans has dumped from both daily driving and minor track exposure. Only 20k miles on but it does have a very aggressive cam which may have contributed to the issue....

Regardless.. Im at a crossroads because it has to be fixed as it is unable to drive (even in reverse).

Few questions I have is what total cost have any of you paid to rebuild or replace and do I need to do a completely new dyno tune or is it simply replace and play?

I love this car but im curious if id benefit greater by trying to salvage a trade in and look into the new 6th or a sting ray.

If you're going to get rid of it just put in a junkyard trans.

JW Transimission in Rockledge quoted me $1200 to do a race build on a 4L80E for my Silverado, but that was with me doing the R&R. I would not think it would be that differnent for the 6L80e. Having someone do the R&R should only add about $500.

If you go back with the same trans, you should not need a retune. If you move to a 4L80e or something, that will be a different story.
