Ordered 2010 Camaro

Just wanted to share something I ordered my 2010 Camaro 1SS on the 30th of march and was quoted at around 30,000 for it (Military Discount). Discount aside, I was told by the dealer that GM told them to sell the vehicle at MSRP and not jack up the price and I only paid 100 dollars to place my order with no obligation even when it gets delivered. So if your dealer is saying different or charging a lot to take your order I would tell you to shop around.

I can wait, I was told by the dealer he should have his show model by mid May and my car by mid July (perfect summer cruising and car show season) The cool part is my 72' and 2010 are the same color with the same color racing stripes (black with orange stripes) so it will make a nice compliment at car shows. I expect delays regardless it is new what do you expect.

Unfortunately unless the dealer is willing to absorb the price increases in production he will not be stupid enough to put a price in writing before GM tells him the price once production begins. At the same time ask to see the price provided by GM when they give the dealer the final price.

not true. GM generally absorbs the different in cost if there is a price increase between the time a car is ordered and the car is delivered.

that said you should definitely try and get the dealer to put down a price for you

Well my dealer required 1000 dollars down. The other ones only 500. The good thing is the other dealers had sold 10+ cars and my dealer only one. I'm now sitting with a pulled order while the # 2 buyer at BOTH other dealers are still @ 1100. I called to ask as if I were interested from one and our good freinds who do work for the other, found out for me. This was as of yesterday but I'm way out in front of where I would be if I went somewhere else.
