General G-Max vs. Stock
I am very close to replacing my stock pirellis (P-zero all seasons) and I wanted to know if these would provide more grip than the stock tires? I have a 2LT. I have read alot from the SS guys that say they have just a little bit less than their stock tires, but they have summer tires as stock. I have all-season tires, so i figure that in my case, the general's would still provide more grip. Thoughts?

In the rain the stick and go, my P-Zeros would just spin. It is now below 40 and sometimes below 30 in the mornings now. My P-Zeros would spin and slide all over on dry pavement.
G-Max stick and go. I love them so far. |

The UTGQ rating of Pirelli's NERO ALL SEASON tires are 400 A A. Where as the P-Zero NERO ALL SEASON RFT have a UTGQ rating of 400 AA A. The GENERAL G-MAX's have a UTGQ rating of 480 A A. So the GENERAL's treadware grade is rated a bit higher, but depending on which Pirelli is actually on your car, the traction is either the same or slightly (one grade) higher.

Then with that in mind.......The Generals will have the same traction as the P-Zero's you have now.......BUT they will last longer.

If they will have the same traction, but last longer I think I might as well get these. Thoughts?
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes Hard to argue with a 560 treadwear rating and same price. |
