Headers and exhaust install quote?

I had stop by a local performance shop here Jacksonville,NC wanted to see how much they would charge me to install tsp headers and catback exhaust. They told me it would be 5hrs labor for headers and 2.8hrs for bolt on exhaust, total would of been @ $650. Does that sound too much for simple install?

It seems a little high. I did my own installing and it didn't take that long. I would think a shop with a lift could bang it out pretty easily.

Impressive doesn't cover that accomplishment. Epic sounds about right.

Thanks, Same car he took the Headers and cats off and installed the factory parts in 42 minutes.

To be 22 again LOL!

Guy is trading the car in on a Subie

But I think I have him talked into a 12 Manual Camaro.

Big rip.

Especially on the bolt on exhaust. Me and two buddies had old exhaust off and new exhaust on in less than an hour.

Headers took a couple hours, don't remember the exact time cuz we took breaks.

Regardless, save the money and DIY.

I don't have the necessary tools at my house, so I took it to an exhaust shop. They charged $90 for my catback exhaust installation and said headers installation would cost about $350-$400. I live in Orange County by the way

I was too busy and had my regular mechanic install my Borla cat backs. He did it in 1-1/2 hours and considering this was his first set, he might have had to actually read the directions. That should be the max time anyone charges IMO.
