Need a fix for Braking Unstability with road "Ruts"

Hi Guys,
I've been experiencing a lot of unstability from the back end of my SS while braking at high speeds on road surfaces.

The problem seems to come from the fact that the rear tires are larger then most of the Road "Ruts" and if you brake while changing lanes the back end will shake you like you're in a roller coaster!! Very dangerous....

So what are the solutions?
-Same size tires in Front?
-Reduce rear tire size to match front?
-Change Struts, suspension or other components?
but please don't tell me to drive slow...
Thanks
mike

Have you checked the simple things like tire pressures or alignment settings yet? Toe Out in the rear has a tendency to make high speed handling a little skittish. My feeling is that your issue may be mechanical.

Alignment seems to be a bit off lately...and what tire pressure you suggest?
Plus I'm getting vibration only when braking...it's pulling right.
Perhaps I need to resurface the disk Brakes ?

Here is a basic diagram illustrating Camber/Caster/Toe pretty well. Toe out can cause the car to wander a bit as the tire wants to follow ruts in the road.

If you're getting vibrations and pulling under braking consistently it may be time to take the vehicle to the dealer and let them diagnose it. Could be time to service the braking system.

I'd guess alignment myself.

If you're vibrating under braking only, I'm thinking warped rotors. Of course it could be a number of things going on at once. Tire pressure should be 36psi cold, all around.

It's at the dealer this morning, it needed a 4 wheel alingment and resurfacing the rotors.
As far the tire pressure last year I ran them 36psi cold, this year 32 front and 34 back, it's a softer ride now. I might go back to 35 all around, but the road are so bad here that my suspension is taking a beating day in day out....what you think?

They did the alingment but that didn't fix the problem. They could not resurface the rotors caus' the told me they were to much damage, they will replace all four Rotors with new ones but They are back order...ETA 10 days.

If they are telling you the rotors are "damaged" it probably means they are warped which would lead to your vibration during braking.

I see you're in Montreal, so you're probably experiencing -40 to +40°C changes ^_^

Why are you traveling that fast on a road with ruts and braking hard? Hmmm

Please post your alignment specifications from the dealer.

Yes, My rotors are wraped they told me. (@ 20,000km / 12K miles)
No, I do not drive the SS in winter, (0 to +35 celcius / 32 to 90 F)
