19 inch Camaro rims on 2012 Camaro SS?
Hey guys,
I've looked up and down around this forum, and having a heck of a time finding an answer, hopefully you guys can help out. ![]() I picked up a set of used stock 19 inch Camaro rims/tires for my dad's 2012 Camaro SS. He tried putting them on the car last night, and it looks like the front are rubbing against the caliper. He swears it's not the roller spacers... :( Now, I have 2 questions: - Would it be safe to use spacers (5mm?) on these wheels? - Would the rear 19" wheels clear the rear caliper? Thanks for your help! |

Answered my own question. :)
Well, my brother took the car to a wheel/tire shop. They ended up putting 5mm spacers on the front, and the rears fit without an issue.
(BTW, this is the stock painted 19" wheels from the 1LS/2LS to a 2012 Camaro SS.) For some reason, the 19" tires are a bit cheaper to get than the 20s, and didn't want to get into the swapping tires game for winter, as swapping tires on rims are much cheaper and easier to do at home. Not to mention easier rotations. ![]() Thanks, and happy winter driving! |

yeah...not big on spacers unless you have the proper stud length. Your situation I would say would be fine for a winter tire option.
