Scary Start Up Noise - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

When i stat up the car with the key its all normal, but when i use the remote start it makes a weird sound for aboud 1-2 seconds upon start up, then stops like nothing happens. when this first happen, I shut it off with the remote, then back on, and it did not do it again. Wondering what the issue is because this happen about 2-3 times now. Can it be the tune that i recently got? I never got the chance to data log it because Vince has been out last week, but i only have a cai so there can't be much there. Let me know guys,

might try a search as I think there was someone with a V6 that had an unusual noise on start up on here awhile ago. Not sure if the tune is the issue but if the tuner is close just have them put it back to stock and see if the noise goes away. May also want to post a video of it happening as well.

This one time I started my car with the key ignition, for the first 3 seconds it sounded and felt like it had a rough cam installed. Not tuned or anything.. Only CAI intake and MRT exhaust. Scary shit

Sounds like "fapping" LOL...nut seriously it sounds like fap fap fap fap when i cold start. I don't think i notice it when i'm in the car using the key, but when the car is cold it makes the noise. I just went back to stock tune and going to wait until tomorrow to cold start it again to see if that was it. My dad said it might be the oil thickening because i got the oil change in august, when it was due, and i barley drive the car so my next due is in 500 miles. They put junk at the dealer because they gave me a free one, but im going to put syn in it. Any ideas?
