Right, I'll have it up on jackstands but I was told you can fill by using a 4' rubber hose through the engine compartment. I would imagine that the fill plug is on top of the trans but my question was where is it located physically. So I'll get it up and take a look. Hopefully I can use the hose method to fill it. I'm going to use Mobil 1 ATF.

I did mine this last weekend. If I remember correctly the drain is on the right, fill is on the left. I used a fluid pump from NAPA to get it filled back up. One other thing, remove the fill plug BEFORE you take out the drain. It really makes a mess without a way to get air back in the trans. I guess its not vented like in the old days.

another good reason to take the fill plug off first is in case it's seized. not likely on a new car like this, but good habit to get into.

if your fill plug is seized, and you drain the fluid successfully you're stranded 'till you get the fill plug out!

learned that one the hard way on a differential. (not my camaro haha)

I hate to resurrect this thread. But what is the Capacity of the 6060 transmission. I plan on doing mine tonight and put in Mobil1 synthetic trans fluid.

4qts. If it still shifts notchy after the M1, try some Royal Purple Synchromax. That is the only stuff I could find that improved the cold shift notchiness a bit.
