A navigation HUD?

This seems like it could be a good idea.. maybe and idea ahead of its time but it keeps your eye where they need to be and could directly point you in the direction you need to go.

would you buy this if it was a future option?

Seems like it would be way too much on the glass. Maybe not but I'm not a big HUD fan anyway.

it doesnt have to be as detailed & large as normal navs while your driving....they make them on small cell phones.

True, the one on my iphone is batter than the magellan I have but on the windshield it would be further away so would need to be bigger. I could be wrong. I would have to see it.

I would think as long as it's not too big and didn't have too many details like street names that would distract you it would be good, something like turn signals and just the one street you're turning onto would be good, wouldn't really have to take your eyes off the road for that....
