Is it possible to do this without replacing the stock headunit? My camaro is a 15 2SS with the Boston audio upgrade. I have a sub and amp from the car i sold recently that i want to put in this one. I don't really want to replace my headunit as I like the rear back up camera. Here is what I have http://goo.gl/exGIUl http://goo.gl/WBEF1b .Is this something i should have a shop install or should i be able to do it myself? I don't really know how hard it would be to pull out the headunit on this vehicle.

Yes you certainly can add that to your stock system. I did something similar but I used a 12 in sub.
Check out sub thumps stealth enclosure for the drivers side. Fits like a glove with a spot to mount the amp. Very pleased with My setup. You can buy the harness from them to tap in your amp or you can make your own which is what I did.

You don't need to pull the head unit either.
