Waiting for the call from the mechanic!!

I dropped my 2010 Camaro 2lt at the mechanic yesterday. He's the busiest and most honest guy in town and I've been using him for years. I asked him to install my VR intake and Solo Cat back Mach xlt also my Rx catch can. He had it all day Monday and now almost all day Tuesday. I drove past the shop last night and saw the exhaust mounted with those 4" tips popping out the back and no more Frankenstein muffler sticking out of the under body. It looks like a beauty but I still gotta hear it . I'm surprised its taking him this long and wonder what the final cost and hours ex pent are going to be. I don't expect it to take 10 minutes like the guys in the VR YouTube video, but and hour tops also the exhaust should be under an hour. For the catch can I don't even know. Anybody know what I should expect/whats reasonable. I should be getting the call any minute now, cant wait to hear how she sounds. I've had her running stock since i took delivery of her October 2009!! Shes my daily driver I just broke 13,000 miles.

Its going to be like a new car all over again.

Just make sure to go over his installation of the VR yourself and give it time to relearn the new air flow before you make a final judgement call on it. Also, as I tell everyone (heck, maybe I told you once already lol) make sure to chair air inlet gap after the first several drives with your new VR installed. If the gap isn't closing up (should be just enough to fit your key fob in) then you are good to go!

Congrats man.

Wowza i just picked it up and drove it around the block a couple times. Softly for the most part because i understand you need to put a hundred or so miles on the car with these new parts for the computer system to relearn the parts. But wow I was amazed at the sound coming from the car so much more sporty. I popped the hood and saw the varaham intake was nicely installed with no wiggle or anything just snug and they properly put the rx catch can on the drivers side where the old airbox was. And all for 160 im a real happy camper cant wait to let loose and see what this baby really can do!!

Post some pics of the catch can so we can see if its installed correct. Even some pros install them on the wrong hoses.
