2014 camaro 22 rims rubbing problem please help

I have a new 2014 camaro some one in my local area was selling there new set of factory reproduction 22 wheels and tires they were on His 2012 camaro I meet him at a tire shop they were on his car and picked them up in my truck . A couple days later I put them on backs fit great the fronts fit also they bolted up but are rubbing the bottom of the strut front tire size is 265/35/22.they fit on his 12 but rub on my 14 did the strut change over the years booth cars are stock . Anyone have this problem was told by the rim shop to go with a 265/30/22 my tires have 300 miles on them so before I buy brand new fronts would like your guys opinion. Love my car first new car I every bought . This is my first post any help is appreciated thank you

I have the same problem. I'm thinking maybe spacers??

He's probably lowered the struts have a \ angle to it so the lower you get the more space to the strut you get but lesser on the fender

I have 265/35/22 up front as well on 22X9" rims. They were extremely close to the bottom of the strut mount, so I added some custom solid aluminum hub ring/spacers, I believe they're 5mm thick. They clear the strut mounts and line up with the fenders better with the spacers. I've had them for about 3 years, 30,000 miles, and no problems at all.

There are a few ppl on here that had 265/35/22 have had this same problem and the part it's rubbing on is called spring perch. The width of the rim needs to be a certain. width to run those 265/35/22. Most on here are running 265/30/22! I'm running 255/30/22. You wont need a spacer and you won't have any rubbing.
