Boston Line Out Voltage?

I think I ask in another thread but don't remember which one. What is the line out voltage on the Boston head unit? I need to know the input voltage for my PDX amps.

My amps have two settings..01-1.0v and 1.0-8.0. Guess I can just use meter to know for sure.

A meter is always a better way to go (an o'scope better still!).
However, it's usually a good idea to start gain setting with the higher setting (ie, with the amp set up for 1 to 8 volts of input). If you can't get sufficient output with this setting, THEN take the gain pot back to it's least sensitive position and switch to the lower voltage input & restart the procedure.

Wow, that's high for OEM stuff. Doesn't matter now anyway as I ordered a line driver last night. I will be going for the 8 volt range. The Matrix can do that easy enough. Then I will try to find a place to get a pro tune. Where can a test cd be found?

I got the line driver because I'm staying with the boston head for a while and the idea of cleaning up the signal. Wonder if Steve meant .6v, probably closer to that then 6. Either way I will put the meter on it first. I pulled evereything out of my truck this morning so I now have all 3 PDX amps available. I can start my build now. Only thing I'm missing now is some 1/0 cables and terminals, and fuses. Trunk has mat and foam already, I'll be doing the cabin as I run the rca cables for the bass control and replace speakers. This should be the best sounding system I've built so far. Never used mat and foam before and never had 2600 rated rms watts. Should sound sweet.

I used about 38 sq ft of Dynamat and 12 sq ft of 1/4" Dynaliner. Still need to do the trunk lid too so it won't vibrate with two 12s with 1000w rms each. Doing top and bottom of rear deck where 6x9s are too.
I would avoid the roofing materials from Lowes other than maybe the floors if you were to foil tape all seems and edges. I'm not taking any chances of having my car smell like asphault in the heat in south Texas. The Foam Factory has better prices than most car specific products for the accoustical side of things.
