Couple of mod Questions

Ordering my 2SS/RS Ashen Gray Camaro a week from sunday. Been practicing my permagrin on Camaro5 for a few weeks now. Planning on getting Corsa Cat Back Exhuast, looking for header preferences.. Also are the halos on the RS package colored like Advanced automative concepts has? the oracles.. Also I am buying the JL Audio triple stealth subs, any deck preferences for the camaro? a nice touch screen.. looking to get CAI induction. just cant wait to get my car and put all these mods on right away. Are the footwell and cupholder GM upgrade lights cheezy looking? and one last question.. is a catch can only for super charged engines.. ugh feels good to get all those out there.. Any mod suggestions will be helpful! THANKS

I can answer a few of those questions. For headers I would check out American Racing Headers. The RS package does not come with color shift halos. They are just the blue/white HID color. Cold air inductions is the way to go for a CAI. And no a Catch Can is not just for supercharged cars. Rx performance parts makes Pretty good one and are color matched to your car. Check them out he is SC2150 here on the forum and his name is tracy I highly recommend him

Oh And congrats on the new car order

The RS package Halos are just the white color. As far as a catch can goes you can have them with no super charged engine and i would recomend getting one.

Lemme answer the ones I can.

1. There's plenty of headers to choose from, a guy I regularly hang with has Doug Thorley LT's.
2. The RS halos are not colored from GM. You'd have to buy color shift from a venor or a member selling a pair. Choose color wisely, some are illegal in many states.
3. Deck preferences are suggestive. Alpine, Kenwood, Clarion are all good.
4. CAI makes what seems to be the most popular intake. There are many others, Rotofab, K&N, Injen, I have an AirAid.
5. Footwells and cupholder lighting are not cheesy...plenty of folks do it. I'm gonna one of these days myself.
6. Catch cans can be installed on non-supercharged V8 engines.

Hope that helps, but please take what others have to say as well. Good luck, hope you are enjoying your ride soon!

1) the GM cupholder & footwell lighting is extremely over priced. It can be done with AAC stuff much cheaper

2) a catch can is essential for every LS engine. No matter if it's super charged or not.

It prevents oil from getting back inside your intake manifold, throttle body, and intake. There are a couple of threads on here showing the diffrence between an engine that has a catch can and one that doesn't. The one that doesn't is usually very dirty and full of oil.
