Problem finding dash defrost vent - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys, co worker has a 97 camaro z28 and the defroster vent on the top middle of the dash had the tabs break off. trying to find this vent to replace it for him, need help been searching and found nothing. does it only come with a whole new dash or can i get just the insert?

Any 97-02 should work.

You talking about the dash pad vent? If so you have to buy the whole dash pad.

thanks guys, sounds like it fbodyrs96 but not sure. its in the center of the dash on the top side facing up. he has a carpet dash cover over his whole dash and its the only vent on top of the dash that shows, big vent in middle of dash also has his alarm light mounted to it.

Ahh.... I thought you were referring to the vents above the HVAC/Radio.

You may want to try finding something use. I'm sure people who've replaced their dash pads would be able to provide you just the inserts. Perhaps try www.hawksthirdgenparts.com
