Showroom car at dealerships on May 6 (concern)

I recently went to a dealership in Virginia on Friday (May 1) for an unveiling event and they had a Black 1LT Auto Sunroof polished wheels cloth seats. That joker was nice. I took pics but they kind of suck so I didn't bother to paste them but if you want to see then anyway I'll post them later. Anyway. That car belonged to someone who got it the next day. OH by the way I was just watching the news and saw a commmerical for the Official launch day (May 6) at local dealers.

NOW!!!! Here's the "concern". How do you feel about the local dealerships using your car as the showroom car and allowing people to explore your car b4 you get it? Messing with your gadges, radio, etc.....Just want to know your input about that.

Personally, I don't want nobody touching my car b4 I get it first. Not that I'm stingy becuz I'm far from that (I mean its just a car) but after what I saw Friday...I mean they started the car up and folks was hit the gas and some more thangs. And of course I was one of the ones doing all of the above but when I left the dealership I thought ...What if that was my car sitting there getting the "exploration" treatment...I would have been pissed. I asked them to open the sunroof and they said the owner said that was one thing he didn't want them to touch. WOW...Me, I would have said if I yall use my car for the showroom display rope my shit off and let them take pics only.

My store would not display a sold unit. If we had it in the showroom it would be behind ropes. I suspect the owners will want to pick them up right away.

You're ranting about people messing with your car yet you did the exact same thing to someone else's...? Oh and not to flame, but good grammar really makes a difference.

My dealer has a sold unit on the showroom floor as a display for right now, with the owner's permission, I am told. I went to look at it the other night and they have it locked and are not letting anyone sit in it nor oopen the hood or trunk. They have a sign on it stating this and so far, I think there have been no problems. My dealer's car has still not come in so, they are using the sold unit to get people in to the showroom, and boy is it working!!!!

My wife and I stopped by our dealer yesterday because we found out that they had their dealer car in the showroom. We were able to sit in it, open the trunk, and all that. It was nice to finally get to see the car in person. This is their dealer car, not ours, we are their #1 allotment and won't be getting our car until Mid June, but have been promised that when our car comes in they will not allow any one else to touch it at all.

By the way, I did ask if our dealership was doing anything for the May 6th unveiling and they said that they are just a small town dealership and they won't be doing anything at all ....

Bill here from Nucar in Delaware. I've got an open car which you are welcome to see from the driver's seat. Send me a PM or give a call and we'll set something up.

Our local dealership just received their Camaro. Wow, it was a gorgeous, black Camaro. Our local dealership may be celebrating that entire weekend. However, back to the Camaro. What can I say...its was comfortable and roomy. It was larger than my Mustang; I would guess it was about the same size as my former Monte Carlo SS. I was impressed.

First off I wasn't aware that the car was already sold given the play that was allowed with car until I asked them to open the sunroof. ..
