U.S. Gear/Axel Tech 4.10s
It's been over a week and about 300 miles since I've put the gears in. I tried my best not to do anything harsh untill they had a chance to break in, but after some veryvery spirited driving last night...I have to say they did their job very well
![]() I installed an LPW diff cover and some Pedders HD bushings while i had the diff out. Acording to the ass dyno, there is a night and day diference in low end grunt. I am very pleased with how this all turned out. All that is left is a good solid launch on a prepped track, which hopefully will come in a month or two.

Great Info, thanks for sharing. Any gear noise or whine at all??? How much mileage are you going to let build up before you drain and replace the "break-in" fluid? Please keep us posted on your progress. It will be nice to have a more reliable (or trust-worthy) option out there other than the Richmond's.

The whine i hear with these gears was the same decel whine i heard once in a blue moon with the factory gears, they dont make much noise at all. Honestly the noises that I do hear are probably a result of the bushings more than anything.
I am changing the engine oil today, and am going to look at the Rear diff fluid and make a judgement call. eventually i want to move to royal purp in the rear diff, the only thing autozone had on build day was mobile 1 edit: update, no problems so far with the diff or the fluid, it was nice and clean

Isn't it amazing what a difference they make? Where did you get yours from, by the way?

Man the difference is awesome
![]() I went through Drivetrain Specialists in Warren, MI. I was referred to them by U.S. Gears personally and they took care of everything over the phone pain free. If you need super specific info PM me.

Did you happen to notice much change in fuel mileage or top speed with the 4.10s?

Fuel mileage dropped significantly with the 4.10s, however you really dont lose much speed that i can see, but of course i never ran entirely through 6th gear because, obviously, there isnt enough room on the freeway

Does the gears come with a install kit or what is the part number of their install kit?
