G8 Modded Pedals

As described in another thread I thought I would try to install the GM G8 Alloy Foot Pedals. For your reference the part Number is 92214916 this is for the Automatic Only. There might be a option for you manual guys, The 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP are supposed to come stock so you can see if you can find the part number that way. The ones I got are a upgrade for the G8.

So the install had its quirks but fairly simple, I had help from my brother which made things go a lot quicker. When you get the pedals it looks pretty straight foward but it isn't as easy as it looks at first glance. It takes some finger strength for the brake pedal. As for the gas pedal you have to take the cover the new gas pedal as it will not work with the Camaro as the connectors are different. It took nearly an hour.

Enough talking here are some photos of the before and after, along with a picture of the Lloyd Luxe mats which are twice as thick than the Ultimats.

Aren't there supposed to be 3 pedals? My left foot wouldn't know what to do. Looks nice.

Fantastic Teccboxx - great job. So I'm clear - does the gas pedal come with the arm so what you're saying is the new cover needs to come off that arm or am I not understanding ? Not worried about how long it takes just that I can do it myself rather than pay the Dealer to do it... thanks.

Exactly, all you need are the following

Flat head Screwdriver
Razer/Knife
Pliers
Metric 10 Socket
Block of wood

You can definatly do it by yourself it is not that bad.

Sorry I should have taken some better pictures. If you look at the gas pedal there are three tabs, you simply bend those up and slip it off. the brake pedal is all rubber and slips right over.

The cost was $70 plus $15 to ship them.

Not bad to make it match the Sema Black pedals. NOTICE the clutch pedal.
