I have a TPW!!! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I ordered on March 4 and my order was accepted (code 2000) on April 30. I emailed the dealer today and found out that I am at event code 3000

and my car is scheduled to be produced the week of June 15

This is good news, but the scheduled date is later than I had hoped

It's good news that the order is moving along, but I was hoping for a quicker turn around. Oh well, and the waiting continues

when is a TPW assigned? I've asked my dealer and I talked to the (800) customer service people. Everyone is telling me I'm at 3000 and it is scheduled for production. But nobody knows about the date. They just keep telling me it's scheduled.

Well. It is very interesting that my order sheet would have a TPW because I had heard and read on this forum that they weren't giving out TPWs anymore. But the email I got from my dealer had my workbench page attached to it.

Model Year: 2010 Division: GMCL-CHEVROLET
Distrib. Entity: RET Order Type: SRE - Retail Sold
Allocation Group: CAMARO Model: 1EH37 - Camaro: 2LT Coupe
Current Event: 3000 - Accepted by Production Control TPW: 6/15/2009

That is part of the email. It says TPW 6/15/2009. I don't know why they gave me one, but other guys can't get one from there dealer of the 1800 number.

just curious..............look at your workbench. what date did you go 3000? does it show the date you got a TPW?

I don't know what date I moved to 3000. Sometime between April 30 and May 11. The sales manager was away from that time, so I just got the update on the 11th once he got back.

Could it be different because I am ordering in Canada??

workbench should show each code, and what date and time that event code happened.

well then maybe he emailed me a different page. because there are no dates and it doesnt show past events, just what event i am at right now.

Maybe it has something to do with your dealer allocation allotment regardless if in US or Canada. I think my car is on the line now. You can compare the time between code changes in my sig. Found this useful when trying to figure out when my car would come in. I think tpw came at event 3000
