No AC

I have no AC in the car and my dealer just called and said it needs a new compressor, I hate opening up a sealed system to moisture

That sucks, bro, but isn't it still winter in Canada? What do you need AC for?

all you do is draw a vaccum on the system and all the moiture will boil out. all long as they put the right amount of oil back in the compressor you will be good as new.

Did the compressor have a failure while using it or did it just not work the first time you ever tried to use the A/C ? I wonder if they will need to flush the system in case the compressor spread debris through the lines etc. Let us know how the repair turns out. Good luck I hope it was just an isolated incident for you

No problem with moisture in a system if it is serviced right. After 24 hours of a vacuum pump pulling 25 microns of vacuum on the system no moisture can remain. Lets hope that the pump remains on your system overnight and you will have a dry system. They may also replace the dryer in the system cause it might be your system is now at air pressure.
