Installing Foot well Lights.

I've looked through this thread
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54183
Many times but I still have a few questions.

It looks like all I need to do is t tap the (positive or negative?) wire to power and then ground the other wire.

To have them come on with the headlights, not the dome light, do I t tap "X5" or the "yellow wire"? Also I'm not 100% sure where these wires are.

How do I go about grounding the wire and do I ground the positive or negative end?

Any help would be appreciated!

The red wire (positive) goes to the power supply. You ground the black (negative wire). If you pop off the side panel of the center console you will see a bolt with a colored mark on it. You use that bolt to ground the wire. If you want them to come on with the headlights then you use the yellow wire.

The strips I have do not have red and black wires. One is solid black and the other has a colored strip going across it. Also what do I use to ground the negative wire?

The wire with the colored strip is the positive. You just need to connect the negative wire to the bolt I mentioned earlier.

Theres one above the gas pedal and also one behind the fuse box. I'm guessing it is the one above the gas pedal though because it looks like cluster of wires with the zip ties around them in the first pic of the DIY thread.

Post a pic when you get it all done. I ordered all my lights today and I'd love to see the outcome. What did you install, if you don't mind me asking?
