Color Advice

Hey,

I have a black 2011 1LT right now with silver 19 inch wheels. I am thinking of plasti dipping them matte black. Also I am thinking of changing the hood color.

1) So far I am thinking a matte black hood - plasti dipped of course.

2) Or: http://media.il.edmunds-media.com/ch..._62811_717.jpg

That kind of stripes BUT since my car is black the stripes could be white.

3) This one is kind of a half assed idea, but do you think that a white plasti dipped hood would look good on a black car? I know it looks great when the car is white and the hood is black but what about in my case where its reversed?

4) Plasti dip the fuel capp matte black.

Thanks all!

do what YOU want, it is your car. I've contemplated plastidipping the stripes on my car but wasn't sure how that would look, post pics when your done. I'd like to see how it turns out

Haha true. I know its my car but sometimes I feel like I think it looks good, and it ends up being really shitty - like it looks 1000% better in my head then it does when completed. So I gave gotten into a habit of double checking whether my brilliant ideas are so great after all haha.

Thank for all the tips though guys!

I wouldnt plasti dip the whole hood, people have done it, but im sure it will come out splotchy.

As for the T3 stripes you are looking at, I think white would be way too much on a black car, it would look weird. But you are in the right area, go for a shade of silver for the stripes. Light or dark, either one will look good.

If you like those, you may also like NS-1 stripes, basically T3 stripes with hash marks incorporated into them. shown here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...highlight=ns-1
