Rear bumper replacement

Someone Hit the rear end o my car a few months back. I've finally gotten the time to get it fixed. It isnt super terrible, but it's definitely enough to warrant an entire rear bumber replacemet. how much will a rear bumper replacement cost me all together?

If someone hit you it sounds to me like it shouldn't cost you anything?
Any reason why you waited?

I'm sure someone else will chime in with the estimated cost.

I replaced mine with the ZL1 bumper.... The bumper alone with paint was 475.00

I have a 500.00 deductible, so I would just fix mine myself. Even if it exceeded the 500.00 and I'm sure it would if taillights had to be replaced, or absorber, diffuser, still would be worth fixing myself better than my insurance going up due to a claim.

You could probably change everything for around a 1000.00. Not worth the claim.

there are only some scrapes scratches and indentations on a small section of the passenger side. I didn't make a claim, because my deductible is $1000. I would have to pay that amount no matter what. I'm 99% positive that I would need to get the entire rear bumper replaced. Jeez I hate having people destroy my things.

If it's the other person's fault, They pay the amount, even if it's less than $1000

Your insurance would bill theirs and eventually refund you the $500 deductible. That, or you could have gone through their insurance directly and have them sent an appraiser to cut you a check. Still have his info?
